A school mindfulness program should be evaluated with enough structure to learn what is working, but without reducing children's inner experience to a single score. ## What can be measured Depending on age and program goals, schools may track: * attendance and participation * student acceptability * teacher observations * attention and classroom transitions * emotional vocabulary * use of calming strategies * perceived stress or wellbeing * parent feedback * facilitator fidelity * safeguarding concerns * continuation after the program ## Use pre/post measures carefully A pre/post questionnaire can be useful, but it does not prove that mindfulness caused every change. Other factors may include: * classroom climate * teacher involvement * maturation * school events * concurrent counselling or support * differences in attendance ## Avoid overclaiming Do not present small internal surveys as clinical proof. Use measurement to improve the program, understand acceptability, and identify where adaptation is needed.
