# Framework Overview

An introduction to PanchaVikas and its five-elements structure.

**PanchaVikas, The Holistic Care 5 Elements Framework,** is an education-oriented framework that uses the five elements of nature as themes for observation, movement, reflection, creativity, emotional learning, and mindful awareness.

It is being developed as a distinct The Holistic Care framework rather than as a reproduction of another five-elements curriculum.

## What PanchaVikas is designed to do

PanchaVikas can help children explore:

* connection with nature
* body awareness
* emotional vocabulary
* sensory attention
* movement and breath
* creativity and imagination
* cooperation and reflection
* age-appropriate mindful awareness

## The role of mindfulness

Mindfulness is woven into activities rather than presented as a separate philosophical lesson. A child may notice texture while exploring Earth, observe change and emotion through Water, sense energy through Fire, notice breath and movement through Air, and practise listening or stillness through Space.

## The role of deeper awareness

The Holistic Care's wider work includes self-inquiry and nondual awareness. In PanchaVikas, this should remain **subtle and developmentally appropriate**. Preschool and younger-primary learners should encounter awareness through direct experience, not abstract metaphysics.

## Educational positioning

The five elements function as educational metaphors and experiential themes. The framework should remain inclusive and should not require children to adopt a religious, spiritual, or scientific belief about the elements.

Detailed age-specific curricula, facilitator notes, school implementation guidance, and parent communication can sit beneath this framework page as the program is finalized.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://knowledge.theholisticcare.com/knowledge/panchavikas/framework-overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
