# I AM: The Heart of Being

The book pathway into nondual awareness, self-inquiry, and the direct recognition of being.

**I AM: The Heart of Being** is one of The Holistic Care's central publications on nondual awareness and self-inquiry.

The current THC website presents it as a book for younger seekers and adults interested in direct recognition rather than only stress-management techniques.

A separate THC article also describes it as an adult ebook centred on direct recognition and nondual inquiry.

## Core orientation

The book explores questions such as:

* What is present before a thought appears?
* What notices changing experience?
* Is identity limited to roles, memory, and emotion?
* What does the simple sense of “I am” point toward?

## Book, course, and live program

The book introduces the inquiry in reading form.

The **I AM: The Heart of Being** online course develops it through structured lessons, reflection, and guided practice.

The **I AM Program** takes the inquiry into a live 6-week group experience.

These are related pathways, but they are not identical products.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://knowledge.theholisticcare.com/knowledge/books-and-publications/i-am-the-heart-of-being.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
